Suicide ideation and behavior scale
SSEV
General
The SSEV uses 10 items to assess the frequency of occurrence of suicidal ideation (passive, active), suicidal intentions, suicidal impulses, preparation, and planning behaviors. All items are answered on a scale from 0 (never) to 5 (every day/many times). Another item asks about the occurrence of suicide attempts in the past four weeks and has a dichotomous response format. In addition, the item asks about the occurrence and frequency of suicide attempts during the past life. The completion time for the questionnaire is 2-4 minutes.
Operation Area
The SSEV was developed as a brief self-assessment instrument of various aspects of suicidal experience and behavior.
The test is available free of charge at www.psychometrikon.de.
